Our vision is to see the Gospel transform everything – ourselves as individuals, our church, our city, and the world.

By 2020, we desire to see that vision expressed in our church as a body of thousands of people, gathering in locations throughout the Louisville area, and planting churches all over the world that draw many more un-churched people into a relationship with God.

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

New Ministries

As the gospel changes our hearts, creates new communities and inspires new leaders, new ministry will emerge. We hope every member of Sojourn will seize the opportunities before them to reach out and minister to our great city.

What’s Now

Sojourn has had the joy of pioneering a variety of ministries in our 10-year history.

  • SEED has become a go-to resource for Germantown and Shelby Park for benevolence and community development, and the East Campus was awarded the 2010 Partner of the Year award by the St. Matthews Area Business Association.
  • Sojourn Music has recorded eight records of original music, and is recognized nationally for its contributions to the world of worship music.
  • Sojourn Counseling has walked couples through premarital counseling and many others through a variety of challenges, learning to apply the gospel to real-life struggles in marriage, family, depression and hopelessness.
  • Sojourn Church Planting has planted churches, hosted numerous conferences, sponsored a residency program and internships, and been a resource for coaching as a regional leader in the Acts 29 Network, which has planted 200 churches in the last four years.
  • The 930 Arts Center has hosted a wide spectrum of visual artists and musicians, allowing our building to serve the artists and aficionados of the arts around our city
  • Student ministries have grown exponentially, allowing us to begin investing in the future generation of leaders for our Church.

What’s New

We believe the next ten years hold great opportunity for more and better ministry. We want to see more people plugged into service, more people served, more opportunities to love Louisville and share the reason for the hope that’s within us. We want to raise up, equip, and plant 40 churches around our region and across the globe, loving their community for the sake of the gospel. We want to see 1,000 kids in our student ministries. We want to see SojournWork become a marketplace ministry that changes the landscape of Louisville’s business world. And we want to improve. We want to be better leaders, to plant better churches, to grow more skillful as shepherds and as servants of the poor and broken.

This requires resources. We need to invest in ministries, make room for more people to step up and learn, and to more fully empower our leaders to lead and advance our mission
