Our vision is to see the Gospel transform everything – ourselves as individuals, our church, our city, and the world.

By 2020, we desire to see that vision expressed in our church as a body of thousands of people, gathering in locations throughout the Louisville area, and planting churches all over the world that draw many more un-churched people into a relationship with God.

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

Member Dick Jackson (Attending Since 2009)

Sometimes God leads us in paths we would not normally choose. I was raised in a Pentecostal Church then spent 30 more years as a member of the Assemblies of God before eventually becoming part of different Southern Baptist churches. Then in 2005 we became members of a Presbyterian (PCA) Church. So, it took 65 plus years to finally end up at Sojourn.

Though not members we had visited many times going back to 2004. Since our daughter and son-in-law were members as well as Community Group Leaders we always enjoyed the gatherings and the closeness of the Community Group meetings. In 2007 we moved to Louisville but the timing didn’t seem right to make a move to Sojourn.

However in the fall of 2009, it seemed like God said “it’s time.” We decided to attend and become members. What a new found joy to look forward to each Sunday, the songs of praise, the fellowship and the inspiring messages from God’s Word. As soon as we started attending we began to get involved in the Counseling Ministry, in both the training and in actually ministering God’s Word to people in need. What a blessing to experience growth in my own life and to see godly change in the people around us.

How I thank God for Sojourn and it’s gospel centered teaching and for letting me be a small part of His exciting and growing kingdom. To God be the glory forever.
