Our vision is to see the Gospel transform everything – ourselves as individuals, our church, our city, and the world.
By 2020, we desire to see that vision expressed in our church as a body of thousands of people, gathering in locations throughout the Louisville area, and planting churches all over the world that draw many more un-churched people into a relationship with God.
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”
—Revelation 21:5
We at Antioch Church count you to be a great blessing to us as we seek to pursue intentional gospel relationships to display Christ’s glory among the nations in Louisville’s south end. Your Kingdom partnership is very much appreciated.
When considering how Sojourn has been a blessing to Antioch Church, the first and foremost thing that comes to mind is people. When a church blesses and encourages some of their best and brightest to leave in order to benefit a new plant, it is one of the best gifts that can be given. At a part of Antioch’s core are some amazing people who grew and matured as members of Sojourn. We are now blessed to have these mature believers, ready to serve and lead. Among the people-gifts to Antioch there is a former elder, deacons, ministry leaders, community group leaders, musicians and more. The value of this investment is certainly priceless.
Beyond the gift of people is the intangible support that has been provided through the relationships with the leaders of Sojourn. In my role as Elder at Sojourn several years ago, I was blessed to connect with a number of men whom I value deeply. These men now are providing ongoing encouragement to our work at Antioch. They have also been instrumental in introducing us to the Acts 29 Network. While we are yet to realize the full value of the network, we feel blessed to be a part of what God is doing and going to do. We have every expectation that through relationships amongst our leaders and personal relationships amongst our members, we will continue to see God’s Kingdom work encouraged and expanded here in our city.
