Our vision is to see the Gospel transform everything – ourselves as individuals, our church, our city, and the world.

By 2020, we desire to see that vision expressed in our church as a body of 7,500 people, gathering in 5 locations, and planting churches all over the world that draw many more un-churched people into a relationship with God.

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!”

General FAQ

Rick Long, Church Planter

Sojourn has been a huge blessing to me personally and to The Point Church I lead. In my first meeting with Daniel he gave me several books, one of which was Building Leaders by Aubrey Malphurs which I have used extensively to structure our leadership development efforts.

Sojourn is a generous church which exemplifies Christian hospitality. Our leaders have gained much wisdom, insight and clarity from attending various conferences, lunches and meetings with Sojourn’s leaders. Sojourn’s music and teaching has filled our offices, iPods and cars. Sojourn’s commitment to seeing gospel renewal in the city has influenced our own commitment to engage our community with a vision for seeing the Gospel transform lives and culture. Sojourn’s Biblical counseling has been integral to our own development of a counseling ministry. The ministry of mercy at Sojourn has set the standard in this region for being Gospel-driven missional vessels of mercy, grace and redemption.

We appreciate the generous and giving spirit of Sojourn. The leaders and people who comprise Sojourn Church are loving, generous, humble servants who have been a tremendous blessing to me and those I lead. The influence of Sojourn Community Church reaches far beyond Louisville into far away places. It also reaches nearby places like Frankfort, for which we are truly grateful.
